Organic Festival - A great success!

The inaugural Organic Festival at Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre on Sunday 2nd August received a huge turnout of people keen to find out more about organic food and products. Nearly 1000 people came to browse at the stalls, which included organic wine, meat, olive oils, cheese, herbs, baby clothes, seedlings, etc. Those who attended gave glowing reports of the festival with some people remarking on the range of organic produce. We hope that the next event will be even bigger, with lots more stalls, given the positive feedback we received.

Many thanks to our commercial members who agreed to participate in the festival and it was great to hear that they were also very happy with the day (see below for their comments).

The organizers worked really hard to make this event happen and so many thanks to Margaret Esslemont, Leanne Reid and Tanya Jackson and all the volunteers who helped out on the door.
